About the Puzzle Game “Our First Adventure”

“Our First Adventure” is a story-based online puzzle game for children inspired by “The Book About Birds, Part 1”. The image is not random: it is a map of the route traveled by the Little Book Bird and the Wise Owl in the book. This means that each piece belongs not simply to a picture, but to a familiar journey in which places and details are connected with the characters’ stories and encounters.

Piece by piece, the complete adventure map comes together, allowing the familiar route to be seen not only across the pages of the book, but as one large picture that the child reconstructs themselves.

How the Game Works

The player assembles the complete journey map from separate pieces, finding the correct place for each one. Edges, colors, continuing lines, parts of the route, and familiar details in the image can all be used as clues. The game includes:

• 4 difficulty levels: 5×3, 6×4, 8×5, or 9×5;
• a “Show Picture” button to view the complete image as a hint;
• a “Shuffle” button to mix the puzzle pieces and start assembling the picture again;
• a “Full Screen” button for more comfortable play on different devices.

To reconstruct the map, the child needs to compare the edges and shapes of the pieces, continuing route lines, color transitions, and small details while also imagining how separate fragments may fit together as one complete picture. Previously seen elements and the overall structure of the map need to be kept in mind and connected with new pieces. If the child remembers the stories from the book, familiar places can provide an additional clue to where a particular part of the route belongs. An unsuccessful guess can be checked and changed, so the solution gradually emerges through observation, comparison, and repeated attempts. This puzzle is not about speed: each level can be assembled at the child’s own pace, with attention focused on how separate parts form one complete picture.
