Why do I need to verify my email?
Email verification lets us connect the drawing with the adult who sent it, apply the one-drawing-every-30-days rule, and show selected drawings previously sent from this email address. No password is required.
How long does email verification remain active?
After you enter the code, verification remains active for up to 7 days on this device and in this browser. After that, you can verify the same email again with a new one-time code.
How many drawings can be sent?
One drawing every 30 days from one email address.
What are the requirements for drawings?
The drawing must be created on the special final page of one of the LittleBookBirdAndWiseOwl books. It should show an adventure of the Little Book Bird and the Wise Owl – something they are doing, exploring, discovering, or someone they are meeting. Format: JPG. File size: up to 5 MB.
Who can send a drawing, and whose work should it be?
A drawing may be sent only by an adult – the parent or legal guardian of the child who created it. By sending the drawing, the adult confirms that, to the best of their knowledge, it was created independently by the child and does not copy third-party characters, brands, books, cartoons, games, or other protected materials.
What drawings are accepted?
We accept only children’s drawings created on the special final page of a LittleBookBirdAndWiseOwl book. The drawing must be suitable for a children’s audience: without violence, horror, sexual or nude content, politics, military campaigning, hatred, insults, and without third-party brands or characters. A drawing that does not meet these requirements may be deleted without explanation.
Can the drawing become part of a book?
Yes. If a drawing is selected, LittleBookBirdAndWiseOwl may use it in full, in part, or in an adapted form in a future book, on the website, in online games, or in other project materials. If child information was provided, it may be used next to the selected drawing or idea.
Does the child or the parents receive a fee or author’s payment?
No. This section is not a contest, competition, or commercial collaboration. Sending a drawing does not create any right to a fee, payment, royalties, share of profit, co-authorship, copyright, or other rights to future books, stories, illustrations, games, or project materials.
The child made the drawing on ordinary paper. Is that accepted?
No. Drawings for this section must be created on the special final page of a LittleBookBirdAndWiseOwl book.
Can a drawing be changed or deleted after sending?
Not directly through the website. After sending, the drawing goes for review. If you change your mind, please contact us. We may stop further new use of the material where this is technically and legally possible. This does not affect materials that were already created, published, printed, sent to print, or prepared for publication before we received the request.
Why does a newly sent drawing not appear in the history?
Immediately after sending, the drawing is under review. The confirmation shown after submission tells you that we received it. The history on this page shows only drawings whose ideas have already been selected for work or have become part of a book. If a drawing is not selected, no additional status is shown.
Can we find out why a drawing was not selected?
We cannot provide an individual explanation for every submission. A drawing may simply not fit the stories currently being developed, or enough ideas may already have been selected for upcoming books. We may decide not to use a drawing without explaining the reason.
What if the child really wants to be in a book?
The best thing is to give the child freedom to create their own idea rather than trying to guess what might be selected. We look for ideas that can naturally inspire the world of the Little Book Bird and the Wise Owl, and selection also depends on the stories being developed at that time.
Will the child information be written somewhere?
If you provide child information – first name, age, and country – it may be used in a book, on the website, or in project materials next to a selected drawing or idea. If you do not want to provide child information, write “no child information” in the field. In that case, the material may be used without the child’s name.
What child information can be provided?
Please provide only the child’s first name, age, and country. For example: “Marta, 7 years old, Ukraine”. Do not provide the child’s surname, address, school, class number, phone number, email address, or other sensitive data. If you do not want to provide child information, write “no child information”.
Do you sell our data or send advertising?
No. The email address is used for email verification, technical messages, and information related to drawings whose status changes because they have been selected for work or used in a book. Drawings and children’s information are not shared with third parties for advertising.
Are drawings stored forever?
No. We do not keep a public archive of all submitted ideas. Drawings are stored for the time needed to review them and, where relevant, to work on a book or other project materials. Materials that are not used may be deleted. If a drawing or an idea from it has already been used in a book, on the website, in an online game, activity, or another project material, this does not mean that we keep all original files forever.
