The Book About Birds, Part 1 is the first printed activity book in the LittleBookBirdAndWiseOwl book-and-game world.
It began with original stories and drawings created by a 9-year-old boy, then grew into a carefully shaped bird adventure with stories, real bird facts, story-based hands-on activities, coloring pages, cut-outs, and a special creative page for a child’s own idea.
This is not just a book about birds. It is one connected journey with the ever-curious Little Book Bird and the Wise Owl, who always seems to have an answer. They travel through fields, forests, rivers, towns, and the seashore, meeting 15 birds along the way. Each meeting has its own place, mood, question, and discovery, so the birds feel like part of a living journey rather than a simple list of names.
The bird facts are real, but they do not stand alone. They become part of the journey: what the heroes notice, what they wonder about, what they learn, and what the child can explore on the page.
The story then turns into action. Children can work through story-based hands-on activities, notice details, color pictures created from original child-made drawings, cut out elements, match and glue pieces into the right place, and complete parts of the bird adventure with their own hands.
At the end of the book, the child is invited to become part of the world too. A special creative page gives space to draw an idea for where the Little Book Bird and the Wise Owl could travel next – not only inside the world of birds, but toward any new place, meeting, question, or adventure a child can imagine or would love to read about in one of the future books.
